The Old Barn Farmhouse dates back to the 17th century and is constructed of red brick and flint under a pantile roof.

Selling agent Jackson-Stops said: “The present owners have taken a great deal of care to renovate and restore the property, while maintaining integrity and creating a wonderful family home.”

The fully glazed entrance hall includes built-in storage and creates an ideal boot room.

There is room for a freestanding dishwasher and a two-oven oil-fired AGA, with electrics installed for an AGA companion if required.

An adjoining utility room has pantry shelving and space for a washing machine, tumble dryer and large fridge freezer.

To the other side of the dining room is a sitting room with fitted storage, book shelves, beams and another inglenook fireplace with wood-burning stove.

At the centre of the ground floor, an inner vaulted hallway includes a cloakroom and the staircase to the first floor.

Upstairs, a galleried landing with exposed brickwork provides space for seating or a small study area.

The master bedroom features countryside and garden views, fitted wardrobes and a stylish en-suite shower room with white sanitaryware, surface basin and an oversized shower.

Another set of stairs leads to the top-floor guest suite, where dormer windows bring in natural light.

This room links to an en-suite bathroom with views, featuring a freestanding bath, a marble pedestal with surface basin and WC.

Alongside the house is a large barn with exposed flint walls and beams that could be used as a workshop, studio or party room.

Full planning permission in perpetuity allows the barn to be linked to the house, creating more than 4,900 sq ft (subject to measured survey) of accommodation.
