The pioneering Norfolk firm turning pollution into building materials
O.C.O Technology, which has bases in Norfolk and Suffolk, uses carbon capture and utilisation tech to treat waste products and turn them into carbon negative aggregates to be used in construction.
The process involves capturing air pollution, predominantly from EfW (Energy from Waste) facilities where non-recyclable waste is burned, and transforming it into building materials.
And because more carbon dioxide is permanently captured than what is used in the manufacturing process, it has been recognised as the world’s first carbon negative aggregate.
