Norfolk hotel's business rates valuation triples to £950,000
The rateable value of the Nelson Hotel, on Norwich's Prince of Wales Road, will increase 200pc from April, rising from £315,000 to £950,000.

It follows a revaluation of properties which has seen them rise by tens of thousands of pounds for hotels, pubs, bars and restaurants across the country.
Properties get revalued by the independent Valuation Office Agency every three years.
The government says businesses are seeing a significant increase in their rateable values because the previous valuation took place during Covid, with new figures reflecting post-pandemic recovery.
Hoteliers’ profit margins have already been put under pressure by increases to national insurance contributions and the minimum wage.
Experts now predict they will respond by putting up their nightly room rates to offset the added costs.
