The Pakistan-Saudi Arabia Strategic Mutual Defence Agreement marks a significant milestone in the history of Muslim nations. This pact showcases the ability of Muslim countries to put aside past differences and forge new frameworks of trust and cooperation. The agreement reflects maturity in statecraft, emphasising institutionalised defence collaboration and alignment on shared security threats.

This unprecedented pact is designed to promote peace, stability and unity. It has delivered an effective message for much-needed solidarity to safeguard the core interests of the Ummah. This bilateral agreement should be taken as a model for Muslim solidarity. Leadership of Muslim countries should understand the importance of cooperation and collective actions in tackling the major challenges being confronted.

Strong concerns expressed frequently from the Pakistan side are getting endorsements from international watchdogs and neighbouring countries sharing borders with Afghanistan.
