Coventry's new council flats for homeless slammed as 'shoe boxes'

Coventry Live readers haven't held back on sharing their views about new flats being developed for homeless families in Coventry, sparking a range of responses, from concerns over the loss of local identity to criticisms of the city's housing strategies.

A residential block that will provide flats for 50 homeless families in Tile Hill has been given the go-ahead despite widespread objections. Council members voted through the supported temporary accommodation project located on Faseman Avenue during last Thursday's meeting, which took place on 20 March.
