When Republicans are in control of America, Democrats whine about forever wars. When Democrats are in control of America, Republicans whine about forever wars. Independents are always whining about forever wars. Forever is a long, long time. These political attacks on long, not forever, wars is nothing but more Kabuki theater for agenda-driven political purposes. In other words, politicians being nothing but politicians.

The one and only true forever war is the war between good and evil with ongoing battles between truth and lies. The war of which I speak was first documented in the Book of Genesis, and due to the many foibles of human nature has persisted ever since. As we observe life and the world in 2026, many of us have to wonder if evil has taken the upper hand. Throughout the Bible and throughout post biblical history, human beings have cycled through times when it seems that evil gains the upper hand for a period of time.

"When you abandon freedom to achieve security, you lose both and deserve neither."........
