Conniving Canadian Government Tries Blaming President Trump For Potentially Scrapping Online News Act

LOL! The steadfastly Liberal Toronto Star, Canada’s largest newspaper, has gone into a tizzy fit now that the Canadian government “may be getting set to kill its last-remaining bit of Big Tech regulation”.

It’s all President Donald J. Trump’s fault, of course.

“In the name of placating President Donald Trump and his band of oligarchs, the Canadian government may be getting set to kill its last-remaining bit of Big Tech regulation.” (Toronto Star, Aug. 20, 2026.)

“I’m told, by sources not authorized to speak on the record, that Ottawa has told publishers to be ready for the death of the Online News Act. It would be just one concession offered up to alleviate--but not end--Trump’s punitive, illegal trade war,” states the writer of the above article, adding, “Such a retreat wouldn’t just be bad policy. It would be a surrendering of our sovereignty.” (Toronto Star)

So, according to the Star, Canada is up against “President Donald Trump and his band of oligarchs”. No mention of Canadian Prime Minister and his distressing World Economic Forum (WEF) oligarchy using Canada, its Canadian Pension Plan via Brookfield to impose One World Government on the United States of America, and ultimately on the entire Western World.

“Such a retreat wouldn’t just be bad policy. It would be a surrendering of our sovereignty”?

Since the arrival of elitist bankster Mark Carney in the PMO, Canada has had no sovereignty to surrender having already ceded it over to the communist leaning........
