Keir Starmer makes UK first to do a trade deal with Donald Trump – have your say

The UK has become the first country to sign a trade deal with the United States of America, after US President Donald Trump announced a swathe of heavy tariffs on countries around the world.

Industry figures have hailed the deal after being worried that tariffs would result in large amounts of job losses. Opposition politicians were quick to remind the Prime Minister that the UK is still in a worse position than it was a few months ago.
