Town centre pedestrianisation plans spark business worries

Cambridgeshire Live readers have been discussing development proposals for a town centre. The scheme to pedestrianise a section of Ramsey town centre has sparked debate, with residents split over its potential merits.

Some locals are sceptical about whether the pedestrianisation will truly be advantageous for the town. They have voiced worries about the reduction of central car parking spaces and possible negative effects on local shops.

On the other hand, there are those who believe that the proposed changes could lead to a safer town centre environment. Huntingdonshire District Council has stated that it is incorporating residents' opinions into the planning process.
