Premier Danielle Smith is no dummy.

She is well aware the pipeline deal she made with Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday would not be an easy sell but sell it she must.

There are UCP voters and UCP members motivated enough to spend a couple of days at a political gabfest in Edmonton who have had it with Canada, Liberal Canada, Eastern establishment Canada.

So when they hear Smith has made a deal with Carney and she tells them Alberta scored a big win they cannot just turn off their discontent, their anger, their disgust.

The disgust is deep.
