Musk accuses Soros of trying to derail Trump’s agenda through Wisconsin Supreme Court race
Billionaire Elon Musk has publicly backed claims that George Soros is investing millions of dollars to influence the Wisconsin Supreme Court race, which could ultimately reshape congressional districts and weaken Republican control. The allegation, originally put forth by former Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker, underscores the intensifying political battle between two of the most influential figures in American politics today.
On February 27, Scott Walker took to social media to warn that Soros was pouring money into Wisconsin’s Supreme Court race to help secure a 4-3 liberal majority. Walker pointed to a key vote in the US House of Representatives on February 25, which narrowly passed a Republican budget blueprint by a 217-215 margin. He argued that by flipping Wisconsin’s Supreme Court in favor of liberals, Soros could facilitate a redrawing of congressional districts that would cost Republicans two House seats. This, Walker asserted, would be part of a broader effort to obstruct former President Donald Trump’s legislative agenda.
Musk amplified Walker’s concerns the following day, writing on X (formerly Twitter) that blocking Trump’s political initiatives was “exactly [Soros’] goal.” The Tesla and SpaceX CEO has become increasingly vocal in American politics, often aligning himself with Republican causes and taking an adversarial stance against progressive megadonors like Soros.
