Babri Masjid on Bengal’s soil – a blueprint to spark unrest
Why the foundation stone of a Babri Masjid in West Bengal ahead of the Assembly elections? A plan to trigger unrest by invoking religious sentiments and provoking communal tension—this is the burning question across Bengal’s political circles today. BJP and various Hindutva organizations have now set their sights on TMC MLA from Bharatpur, Murshidabad — Humayun Kabir.
Hindutva groups had earlier raised objections several times about his alleged anti-Hindu remarks. Now, with Humayun announcing that the foundation stone for a Babri Masjid will be laid on December 6 in Beldanga, Murshidabad, tensions have peaked.
The BJP is raising the pitch over the proposed Babri Masjid in Murshidabad. Reacting to TMC MLA Humayun Kabir’s announcement, BJP MP Sudhanshu Trivedi directly targeted Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, saying:
“The situation in West Bengal is very bad. In Murshidabad, a TMC leader, Humayun Kabir, has said he will rebuild the Babri Masjid. Leaders of the INDIA bloc are either silent on this or indirectly supporting it. So ahead of the elections, what kind of atmosphere do TMC and Congress want to create?
