Neil Warnock has been one of the real characters of football management. He is, at the age of 76, currently not in a dug-out but instead on a lucrative speaking tour which includes a date at the famed London Palladium.

This mecca of showbiz usually stages singers, comedians, musicals and pantomimes. But on Thursday, September 18, it is An Evening with Neil Warnock.

Warnock is a passionate football man who been a presence and willing interviewee for much of my career – first as an average player on the wing and then as a remarkable manager with 16 clubs.

He has the record of managing the most games – 1,626, which beats the previous record of 1601 held by Dario Gradi. Warnock has also holds the record number of promotions – eight, from non-league to Premier League. These are two remarkable records.

He did manage in the Premier League with several of his promoted clubs but Neil never won a major trophy. He did, however, come close twice with Sheffield United in the two domestic cup competitions.

Warnock’s speaking dates contains many insightful stories from his long career, including explosive and controversial ones. He also brings on several guests. No doubt, he also........
