Arkansas voters want officials who listen, build trust
I'm running for Arkansas Secretary of State--an office built on consistent administration, fairness, and trust. When it works well, it doesn't make headlines. It simply serves Arkansans, consistently and impartially.
At its core, this role isn't about politics. It's about administration. The Secretary of State is responsible for protecting our elections, administering the rules fairly, overseeing ballot access, and ensuring that citizen-led efforts are handled with clarity, consistency, and respect--so Arkansans can trust the system, no matter where they live or how they vote.
That trust is fragile. Once it's lost, it's hard to rebuild.
Trust erodes when people feel invisible--when they believe the system only works for those already known or already inside it.
I was reminded of that recently during a random moment that has stuck with me.
I was heading into an interview with Roby........
