Dear Mahatma: It is beyond sad that Louisiana finished its part of Interstate 49 so many years ago, and you have to go over that pig trail north and south on the west side of Arkansas. What is your best guess on when Arkansas' part of Interstate 49 will be finished? I'm retired from Louisiana and they are still making fun of Arkansas. -- Bo

Dear Bo: We lived in Louisiana for a couple of years back in a previous century. Loved it. We don't recall making fun of Louisiana. Why make fun of such wonderful people? Here's hoping they don't make fun of us. Excepting sports.

As for best guesses, none of ours are ever best. Or even good. Mostly, our guesses are wrong.
