The great destroyer
He sees himself as the great one, the almighty one, a god. He seeks immortality for his name and image so the world will never forget how important and powerful he is. He demands that party members, businessmen, heads of state, and the media glorify and praise him or else suffer humiliating consequences.
He uses his power and position to intimidate others into surrendering to his will. Thus, he can and does pervert the traditional role of the government, the law, the military, the media, the arts, educational institutions, even the church.
He is the great destroyer of life, truth, careers, personal freedom and security, and peaceful norms. As a result, his rhetoric and actions stoke the prevailing fear, hate, anger, and divisiveness. He is a false god--an instrument of darkness lacking in empathy and compassion for others--one who has no love for anyone other than himself.
God help us for who is in the here and now.
The first commandment: Thou shall have no other gods before me.
