Put a giant sticker on dumb lawmakers' foreheads
They’re handing out the wrong stickers at the state Capitol.
Yes, the wrong ones.
The stickers that the Arizona Department of Public Safety and legislative staff presently give to lawmakers are meant to peel and apply to the driver’s licenses of House and Senate members.
Those stickers tell any cop who might be eyeballing the driver’s license of, say, Sen. Laurie Leadfoot or Rep. Rick Roadwarrior, that said lawmakers enjoy legislative immunity.
This means that when the Legislature is in session, our lawmakers are immune from tickets for speeding and other sundry offenses.

Sorry, but that’s the wrong sticker to give to lawmakers.
Why?
Because invariably some will be stupid enough to use them. They’ll actually demand legislative immunity.
Let me propose a reform.
A better sticker, one that is larger, louder and pops with some eye-grabbing color like hot pink or candy apple red.
