Lost in the press of pressing (often depressing) business last week came the story of a miracle baby.

One saved by Phoenix police but really by the power of community.

We don’t know much about the newborn found last month, wrapped in a cheerful baby blanket that likely was the only cheerful thing in his (or her?) young life.

Police said neighbors in this south Phoenix apartment........
