Yuma Sector Border Patrol agents reported three separate smuggling‑related incidents in April, each resulting in arrests and federal charges for individuals accused of guiding or re‑entering the United States illegally.

The most recent case occurred on April 27, 2026, when Wellton Station agents arrested two individuals near the Aguila Mountains for being illegally present in the United States. During interviews, agents identified Oscar Cayetano Ibarguen‑Aguilar, a Mexican national, as the group’s foot guide.
