Editorial: Don’t delay, Mr. Garland

After gaming the legal system to block two criminal cases against him, Donald Trump is now trying to make sure the public never fully knows what the special counsel had on him.

His argument? Basically, Mr. Trump says it would be unfair to release the special counsel’s reports because he hasn’t had the chance to tell his side of the story. And why hasn’t he had that chance? Because he made sure the cases never went to trial.

Give us a break. A justice system that has been manipulated and mocked by Mr. Trump needs to at least make public the findings of investigations that have cost nearly $13 million. This is about transparency, and the historical record.

And this needs to happen soon — before Mr.........
