New York has long been considered a health care leader, ranking in the top 10 due to our low rates of uninsured residents, infant mortality and obesity, and our strong track record for vaccinations.
When we shift the conversation to pharmacist-led vaccination, though, New York has some catching up to do.

In fact, New York finds itself on par with Texas and Mississippi with regards to pharmacy technicians’ authority to administer vaccines. That means 47 states and the District of Columbia are more forward-thinking than New York with regards to vaccine access.
