Terns: Exploring the Hoot, Toot and Whistle Trail in Wilmington, Vermont

Sometimes, I question my decisions. Other times, I have someone who questions them for me.

“You do know,” my wife, Gillian, said as I loaded my mountain bike in the car, “it’s going to be 95 degrees today.”

“There will be a breeze on the bike,” I replied and possibly actually believed.

In triathlon language, a “brick” is when you do two different disciplines in one workout, like bike and run. It wasn’t necessarily the ideal day for this decision, but if you wait for the perfect conditions, you’ll end up wasting too much of your life.
