New Delhi: The crisis in West Asia triggered by the US and Israel’s attack on Iran entered day 54 on Wednesday (April 22).

While United States president Donald Trump on Tuesday (April 21) said that he has extended the ceasefire with Iran, and has said that the US military will hold off its planned attack to allow more time for Tehran to bring a proposal to end the war, Iran has not issued an immediate response to Trump’s statement.

Meanwhile, Iranian foreign minister Abbas Araghchi has said that “blockading Iranian ports is an act of war and thus a violation of the ceasefire.
