New Delhi: Andhra Pradesh Police has detained a stand-up comedian in Visakhapatnam for allegedly insulting Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan, marking the second such police action in the state within two days.

Personnel from the Chilakalapudi police station picked up Rafiq Mohammad from his residence in Visakhapatnam at approximately 8 pm on April 16. The detention is based on a First Information Report (FIR No. 90/2026) registered at 10 pm on April 15.
