Palestinians say two teens killed by IDF in Jenin; army investigating
Two Palestinian teenagers were killed by Israeli soldiers in the Jenin refugee camp in the northern West Bank on Monday evening, Palestinian media reported.
According to the Israel Defense Forces, the two “posed a threat” to forces in the area.
WAFA, the official Palestinian Authority news agency, named the two boys as Mohammad Sari Alawneh and Islam Abdul-Aziz Nouh Majarmeh, both 14.
A 17-year-old was also injured in the incident and rushed to the hospital, Wafa said.
The outlet said that IDF soldiers opened fire on a group of civilians who had attempted to return to their homes in the Jenin camp to retrieve some of their belongings.
Responding to requests for comment on the shooting, the military said it had launched an investigation into the incident.
