An Imminent Threat by an Implacable Enemy

Iran is not an imminent threat; it is a current one.

Prior to the commencement of Operation Epic Fury Feb. 28, Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claimed, “We intentionally kept the range of our missiles below 2,000 kilometers [1250 miles] so we don’t have that [mid-range] capability. And we don’t want to do that because we do not have hostility against the United States people and all Europeans.”

Despite Iran’s claim, that inveterate lying regime is once again exposed as a duplicitous entity. And for those who claim that President Trump had no reason to attack Iran because it is not an imminent threat to the U.S. or its assets, the facts on the ground prove otherwise.

By its own actions, Iran has unwittingly vindicated President Donald Trump’s claim Iran poses an imminent threat, as it recently fired missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-UK base in the Indian Ocean about 2500 miles from Iran. That means Iran’s missiles also can reach London or Paris, which creates a new security reality for Europe and parts of the Pacific. How long will it be before Iran acquires the technology to produce long-range intercontinental missiles that can traverse oceans.

There is no doubt now, despite Iran’s lying, that it is clandestinely developing long range missiles that can travel at hypersonic speed and reach the East Coast of the United States. It is not........
