An Imminent Threat by an Implacable Enemy
Iran is not an imminent threat; it is a current one.
Prior to the commencement of Operation Epic Fury Feb. 28, Iran Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi claimed, “We intentionally kept the range of our missiles below 2,000 kilometers [1250 miles] so we don’t have that [mid-range] capability. And we don’t want to do that because we do not have hostility against the United States people and all Europeans.”
Despite Iran’s claim, that inveterate lying regime is once again exposed as a duplicitous entity. And for those who claim that President Trump had no reason to attack Iran because it is not an imminent threat to the U.S. or its assets, the facts on the ground prove otherwise.
By its own actions, Iran has unwittingly vindicated President Donald Trump’s claim Iran poses an imminent threat, as it recently fired missiles at Diego Garcia, a joint U.S.-UK base in the Indian Ocean about 2500 miles from Iran. That means Iran’s missiles also can reach London or Paris, which creates a new security reality for Europe and parts of the Pacific. How long will it be before Iran acquires the technology to produce long-range intercontinental missiles that can traverse oceans.
There is no doubt now, despite Iran’s lying, that it is clandestinely developing long range missiles that can travel at hypersonic speed and reach the East Coast of the United States. It is not prudent; in fact, it is outright foolish to act only after Iran has developed the capability to launch intercontinental missiles. The longer we delay dealing with this threat, the more dangerous that terrorist regime will become.
Trump recently boasted, “ The U.S. could leave the Iran operation right now and still leave Tehran unable to rebuild for more than a decade, but that is not an acceptable situation. If we left right now, it would take them at least 10 years to rebuild but rebuild they will.” There is no doubt, the Iranian regime, the IRGC, and genocidal mullahs, who are motivated by an apocalyptic theology, will not throw up their hands and surrender. And the longer we ignore the Iranian threat, the more dangerous it will become, because they are not going anywhere on their own volition. The U.S. is acting preemptively to further degrade their war making capabilities to the point they are forced to surrender or suffer the severest of military and financial consequences.
As for those who repeatedly clamor for Trump to reveal the timeline for the cessation of hostilities, they cannot be serious. I suspect, for political reasons, they are hoping America loses the war. Why else would they urge the president to divulge top secret military timelines and plans to Congress, when there is a nucleus of members who would undermine U.S. efforts, by alerting Tehran of our plans. I need not name them but they consist of a squad of vipers who support Hamas, Hezbollah, the Houthis, and the world’s foremost supporter of terrorism, Iran.
There is no doubt, Iran lied about its covert nuclear weapons research program, it lied about not building secret underground nuclear facilities, it lied about not violating Uranium enrichment limits to levels up to 18 times higher than allowed, it lied about not developing medium and long-range ballistic missiles, and it lied about its dismal human rights record, having recently murdered 35,000 of its citizens for the crime of peacefully protesting its oppressive, criminal and terrorist regime. In short, Iram lies about everything.
Lastly, a resurrected blood libel accuses Israel dragging the U.S. into a war with Iran. It is as if Israel could force America to do anything. Jews, who account for approximately 0.2% of the world’s population, or 16 million souls as compared to 2.0 billion Muslims and 2.3 billion Christians, thus making them one of the smallest religious groups, are hardly in the position to force the reigning superpowers to do anything. Only conspiracy theorists, anti-Semites, and fools Joe Kent, Tucker Carlson, Candace Owens, the terror squad and like-minded Jew haters, could entertain such a preposterous notion, and only dupes believe it. History shows great powers are not pulled into wars against their will by smaller allies. History also shows Trump, with his outsized ego, does not get dragged into doing what he does not want to do.
Regarding the world’s concern with Israel defending itself proportionately from an onslaught of missiles and other military ordnance terrorists and genocidal regimes hurl at Israel’s civilian population, consider this. A proportional response should not be gauged by how many missiles, IEDS, and bombs, managed to breach Israel’s defense umbrella, proportionality should be measured by how many of those ordnances were launched at Israel. The terrorists should not be rewarded for their incompetence in launching missiles, nor should Israel be punished for their ability to successfully mitigate the damage the terrorists tried to inflict upon Israel by repeatedly launching a barrage of missiles at civilian population centers of Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, and beyond.
Finally, I am certain that other than Russia, China, and North Korea, the civilized nations of the world, as well as the oppressed Iranian populace, would welcome a regime change that would remove from power, the current horde of reprobates and miscreants who are still stuck in the 7th Century, and replace the dictators, militias, and terrorists of that repressive regime with modern forward thinking persons, thus catapulting that once modern nation forward to the 21st Century.
