How intelligent tools are quietly expanding Torah, strengthening community, and deepening Jewish practice.

I didn’t expect artificial intelligence to deepen my Jewish life. Certainly not while bottle-feeding a baby sloth at the Detroit Zoo or coaching a teenager through a cybersecurity drill at Friendship Circle. Yet that’s exactly what happened. AI kept showing up—not as a distraction from Judaism, but as a doorway back into it. And that’s the part no one is talking about.

We’re living through the fastest technological shift since the printing press. Most headlines warn that AI will replace jobs, distort reality, or erode human connection. But for Jews—especially those rooted in halacha, learning, and community leadership—AI feels strangely familiar. It fits into a story we’ve been telling for thousands of years: the story of using tools to expand Torah.

When the printing press arrived, Jews used it to democratize learning. When digital archives emerged, Jews used them to open the Talmud to anyone with curiosity and Wi Fi. AI is simply the next chapter.

And if we take it seriously, it may be the most powerful chapter yet.
