Delayed projects seem to be a recurring issue in Oxford.

On our front page this week, we report on the latest delay to the much-needed Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme.

The £176m Oxford Flood Alleviation Scheme has been planned for many years.

Of course, projects of this size require a huge amount of planning and public consultation. People may disagree on the way things are done, but at the end of it Oxford should be better protected from the increasingly regular flooding occurrences.
