The increases to employers' national insurance contributions and the national minimum wage will be felt across public life.

In our front page story of the Oxford Times this week, we reference the impact on businesses, care providers and councils.

It will make it increasingly difficult, especially for small businesses, to employ people.

But it will also be felt by airlines, private schools and pubs.

Jet2 has previously said it is facing an additional £25m a year to cover increased employer national insurance contributions and a higher national minimum wage.
