Quetta Bleeds Again

In a story that could have been written in any month of the past several years, yet another blast ripped through a busy street in Quetta, targeting security forces and leaving scores dead and many more injured. Once again, Pakistan finds itself mourning lives lost, families shattered, and a nation destabilised by the scourge of terrorism. How long will this go on, and when will Pakistan begin to stem the tide?

As reports came in, the government issued the usual vows to eliminate terrorism and foreign-funded groups operating within the country. But after hearing these pledges countless times, they ring........
