Every day, new cases remind us that while Pakistan is making progress in ensuring greater safety and protection for women, serious gaps remain. The latest ruling from the Islamabad High Court illustrates this all too clearly. The court has permitted an underage girl to live with her husband despite her being below the legal age of marriage, while at the same time recommending reforms to strengthen the framework around child marriage and protection of minors.
