The devastating flooding in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, which has left over 358 dead and hundreds more missing, confirms what environmentalists have long warned: flooding is becoming an annual reality for Pakistan. Whether in the plains of Punjab, the lowlands of Sindh, or the northern valleys where melting glaciers feed our rivers, the pattern is clear.
