Concerned about the direction of country
Everyone is entitled to their opinions, but I’m worried about our country and where it’s headed.
Consider some quotes:
“Patriotism means to stand by the country. It does not mean to stand by the president…” — Theodore Roosevelt;
“Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it.” — Mark Twain;
“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.” — Benjamin Franklin.
You might want to rethink what’s going on and see what needs to be done to get us back to these ideas.
Greed is one of the deadly (cardinal) sins per the Bible. When you have people who have, and they want to take from people who don’t have, it goes against all that’s right. We need to look out for all people, not just the ones with the money, goods, etc.
Lying and bullying always comes back to bite you, because after a while, many get fed up with it and push back. So let’s keep hoping that things will eventually go in the right direction, where everyone benefits not just a select few.

Urge lawmakers to support HEAT Act
Cold as it’s been in 2025 so far, at least it’s familiar. It’s also a break after the heat of 2024, the hottest year in New York history. The break won’t last long.
The United Nations International Panel on Climate Change report, compiled by 234 climate scientists, warns that greenhouse gas emissions are the cause of extreme floods, droughts, fires and storms.
Meanwhile, President Trump plans to increase the nation’s already-prodigious production of gas and oil.
Luckily, New........
