Voting for Stefanik is costly to healthcare
According to the Hospital Association of New York State, over the past year, hospitals and health systems in the 21st Congressional District have provided 18,000 jobs and invested $672 million in their communities. They also managed 4,000 births, 42,000 hospitalizations, 291,000 emergency room visits and over 2.5 million outpatient encounters.
NY 21 is highly dependent on government funding, but these programs don’t fully cover the cost of care. Consequently, half of New York hospitals reported a negative operating margin last year and are in danger of closing due to financial distress.
Despite this, 62% of NY 21 voters re-elected MAGA politician Elise Stefanik to Congress, which also means they voted for the largest healthcare cut in our nation’s history – Trump’s One Big Beautiful Bill Act. Their vote will cost their own district over 1,600 jobs and $367 million in hospital-generated economic activity.
It’s in everyone’s best interest to be genuinely informed about policies and politicians. Cancer, strokes and car accidents don’t care about politics, and no amount of partisan spin or “alternative facts” will spare you or your community the unintended consequences of your vote.
By the way, Donald Trump’s personal wealth has increased by $3 billion over the past year. How are you doing?
