Urge Congress to restore vital benefits
Today, millions of needy American families are losing health care and food assistance because of the government shutdown (now in its fourth week), the second-longest in U.S. history.
Republicans have a majority in Congress; however, they continue to blame Democrats for this impasse. Their failure is to do what is right for all Americans, especially those who struggle to make ends meet.

• 24 million people will see their Affordable Care Act (ACA) premiums skyrocketing and nearly 5 million people could immediately lose coverage because over $1 trillion in cuts to Medicaid, Medicare, and the ACA that Republicans voted on recently to fund tax cuts for billionaires.
• 42 million Americans (one in eight Americans) who rely on the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) to feed themselves will lose their benefits.
The Trump administration is illegally withholding SNAP funding. Taking away SNAP during a shutdown has never........
