Values we teach send message to children

Values taught to children by caregivers generally include honesty, kindness, acceptance, right and wrong, and basic manners.

How will our children and young adults navigate a world that teaches one thing but celebrates another?

Expletive-laden yard signs and stickers that children experience in their communities conflict with what most parents and schools consider acceptable forms of communication.

We teach that misbehavior won’t be tolerated, but exonerate those in power despite evidence and even convictions.

Those felons then persecute people who are perceived as different from them with discriminatory policies, detention of those seeking asylum and political attacks for speaking up against current leadership.

We now have multiple people in high-ranking positions........
