Student sees benefits of school phone ban
Since the start of the 2000s, phones have been a staple of everyday lives for students. Although the change of not having phones in classrooms may be challenging to students, the law was a success.
The main reason the phone ban was created was because officials believed that students were not getting enough work done in schools.
Now sure, not having phones may be inconvenient at times, which is understandable.
As a student, the benefits have been noticeable. It seems like talking to friends, my grades, and even just enjoying a day have been improved. It’s so much easier to do activities that would have been harder to do with people on their phones.
The New York state phone ban has been a great law for students in school.
According to Principal John Murphy of Walt Whitman High School, “You can hear the tone in the energy of the classroom, and more importantly in the lunchroom, there is more social interaction because they can’t bury themselves in their phones.”
The difference is there and noticeable for everyone. As a student in a New York state high school, after getting used to the ban, I feel like school is a lot more engaging.
Talking to my friends, doing work, and socializing feels so much easier than when people’s faces are buried in phones.
If other areas follow suit in banning/restricting cell phones in schools, the difference of education will be evident.

Trump transparent in authoritarian motives
White House Press Secretary Leavitt and others in Donald J. Trump’s administration frequently assert that he is the most transparent president in U.S. history.
Some question that claim because DJT promised but failed to reveal details of his income tax or medical records. That failure, however, actually exposes his transparency.
Being transparent means being open and clearly honest about your actions and intentions. In decisions, proclamations and actions, DJT has, with full transparency, shown that he intends to be a dictator and an authoritarian.
There is plenty of evidence to support this conclusion; here........
