Boost EV credit for health and climate
If New York state wants to decrease transportation emissions, it must raise the current EV credit up from the current $2,000.
The state has an ambitious goal of increasing the number of EVs on the road, but that may be challenging, as the $7,500 tax credit by the feds is set to expire on Sept. 30.
Currently, New York state offers $2,000 for an EV, but should the state raise it to make up for the federal loss? I say yes, 100%.
