Hope the new bishop will help pensioners
It came to me as a surprise of Bishop Edward Scharfenberger announcing he was going to retire. But I do believe it is a decision that many people, including me, are very much in favor of him doing it. I feel that the diocese has needed a new leader for a very long time.
I hope that the new bishop will be able to give Mary Hartshorne a chance to explain the pain and suffering that all the loyal St. Clare’s Hospital pensioners have endured.
Mary has been the face and voice of all the pensioners through these painful years. She has tried to speak up for all the pensioners through these troubling years but only found deaf ears.
Hopefully Mary and the new bishop will be able to speak to each other at some point in the near future. For Mary’s sake, I hope this new bishop is the answer to her prayers that she has been praying for all these years.
As the pensioners’ leader, she always showed her great faith in God and to never give up. She gave the pensioners the strength to get through this horrible journey in their lives.
At this time I would like to wish the bishop and the pensioners great success on recovering all the pensions. I know that all the pensioners who passed away waiting for their pensions are in heaven and are praying the pensions will be recovered.

Kiernan will be strong leader in Spa Finance
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing JoAnne Kiernan as a neighbor, as a friend and through her dedicated service as treasurer of our homeowners’ association.
