What government is emerging in U.S.?

Of this year’s three winners of the Nobel prize in economics, two of them co-authored a book called “Why Nations Fail.”

Their book identifies two basic types of government: an Inclusive Government shares the country’s wealth with all of its citizenry; an Extractive Government directs the lion’s share of the country’s wealth into the pockets of a minority of elite power brokers who then decide who gets what from the miserly remainders.

As current political events unfold, ask yourself which type of government you see emerging to replace what Americans used to claim was an indivisible nation with liberty and justice for all.

Friends of North Chuctanunda, Inc. (FONCI) was formed a few years ago for the purpose of creating a healthful pathway along its banks by restoring the native trees and plants to its banks.
