America must help its people in need

Our country has lost its way. Many people on either side of the political divide would agree.

However, the MAGA side would have us believe that defunding the many social programs that were developed to help those in need is the problem.

“Take us back to the 1950s when June Cleaver was the epitome of the stay-at-home mom, Ward Cleaver was the ideal dad and Beaver’s hijinks were innocent and always ended well,” they say.

We don’t have that world, we never really had that world. Remember, ”Leave It To Beaver” was fiction.

This country, one of the richest in the world, has some of the worst outcomes on average for children for disease, education and future.

We have people who can’t........
