No Kings marchers had a shared goal

Did you go to a No Kings rally?

It was essentially different, and better than the several previous rallies and marches. If you missed it, I’ll try to explain.

Why were we all there? Historically the Democrats are the “big tent” party where groups of us advocate for goals that are most important to us.

Healthcare (access to insurance), equal rights, inflation, job security, protecting Social Security and Medicare and Medicaid, women’s rights, food security – it’s a long list.

We all compete for the attention of our legislators to promote and prioritize what is important to us.

The Republicans, on the other hand, have no policy goals at all. As good authoritarian followers they submit to their leader’s........
