In the Mohawk District of Twin Rivers Council, over 246 Scouts and adults collected thousands of food items over the past two weekends as part of the Scouting for Food initiative. They were able to collect over 13,829 items to be used by Concerned for the Hungry as it gets dinner boxes ready for the upcoming Thanksgiving holiday. Locally in Scotia, Troop 3062 along with Pack 3062 and Girl Scout Troop 2244 collected over 2,780 of those items - a personal best. Concerned for the Hungry, Inc. is an-all volunteer organization working to fight hunger in Schenectady County.
