This project was always a good idea — installing a solar array in a hidden portion of school property that would produce low-cost green energy to power district facilities and potentially generate revenue over the next two or three decades.

The project has been well planned, thoughtfully considered and easily justified by the cost and benefits. Officials and the contractor addressed many of the public’s concerns raised during public meetings. The process was transparent and the details are easily accessible online.
