At least six people were killed and 12 others were injured in a shooting Monday morning at a crowded bus stop in Jerusalem, according to Israeli police, emergency rescue services and local hospitals.

The attackers, who authorities said were Palestinian, were reportedly shot and killed by an Israeli soldier and civilian on the scene.

Police said the attackers opened fire on people waiting at a bus stop during morning rush hour at a busy intersection.
