House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (N.Y.) on Tuesday challenged President Trump over a deepfake video that depicted the House Democratic leader in a sombrero and was slammed Jeffries and his party as "racist."

The fake video, posted on Trump’s Truth Social account Monday night, also showed Jeffries with an exaggerated handlebar mustache, while mariachi music plays in the background. It came just hours before an expected government shutdown that Democrats and Trump blame on one another.
