Trump attends PGA Tour event at his Doral golf resort
President Trump arrived at his Doral golf resort on Sunday, as the PGA Tour returned to the venue for the first time since 2016.
The president was caught on camera in a spectator suite during the Golf Channel broadcast of the final round of the Cadillac Championship. He was joined by his son, Eric Trump, and Steve Witkoff, his foreign affairs envoy.
The broadcast showed Trump watching the action on the 18th hole, as Cameron Young won his second event of the season by six strokes over Scottie Scheffler. CBS announcer Trevor Immelman also noted that the president dined with players on Saturday night.
When Young rolled in his final putt, Trump stood up and clapped, pointed at the champion and flashed a thumbs up.
Margo Martin, a special assistant to the president, also posted a video to the social platform X of Trump pumping his fist and waving to a large crowd of people, some of whom were chatting, “USA.”
The tournament marked the first time the PGA Tour has held an event at a Trump-owned course since 2016, the most recent year that the Doral tournament was........
