Trump approval locked at 40 percent, down from start of second term: Gallup
President Trump’s approval rating is locked in at about 40 percent after starting out his term somewhat higher, a new Gallup poll found.
The poll released Tuesday showed Trump’s approval back at the 40 percent mark, up 3 points from where it stood last month and the same as where he was the month before.
He had received at least 43 percent approval or higher from the start of his return to office through May in Gallup polling, though he never reached 50 percent.
Americans’ approval of his handling of foreign policy reached a new low for his second term with 39 percent, while support for his handling of the economy stayed at the low of 37 percent.
Gallup noted in its analysis that neither of these figures changed........
