Trump says he’ll ask Congress for $2B for DC improvements
President Trump said Friday he planned to ask Congress for $2 billion to make improvements around Washington, D.C., the latest instance of the president intervening in the day-to-day operations of the nation’s capital.
“We’re going to be raising about $2 billion from Congress, and Congress is happy to do it, and we’re going to wisely spend the money,” Trump told reporters Friday.
