Just let the weight of this moment sink in. We are on the cusp of total human transformation. In one generation, we have gone from fixed, operator-managed phone lines and clunky computers to effortlessly mobile smartphones, from arduously slow modem connections to 5G and ever-faster internet, and from magnetic tapes and floppy disks to cloud-based, virtually infinite streaming services. Options keep increasing, and costs keep flattening.

And this is only the beginning of the revolution we are witnessing. I have reminded you several times that, for the first time in history, mankind's unique selling proposition (USP), our intelligence, is facing serious competition from the exponential growth of AI. While the risks are no longer understated, the opportunities this presents should not be overlooked. Due to our limited brain plasticity, we have struggled to go beyond a certain level of progress. But with the help of AI, we can break through this ceiling and ascend further than ever before.

For a generation like mine, which grew up with old, messy gas guzzlers, watching television series and fantasising about smart cars that could talk back, a fully automated traffic and transportation system still feels like elusive science fiction. But it is coming. Better and more optimised living and working spaces? All possible. Mankind can now dream of conquering other planets, colonising space, and creating living spaces beneath the waters that cover two-thirds of our planet.

Speaking of the dream of making humanity a multiplanetary species, somebody recently informed me of the method behind the apparent madness of Elon Musk's business ventures. I was told he is investing in enterprises that could help take and sustain life on Mars. Consider his........
